Louis McCarthy was first home from the club in the Enniscorthy 10k road race this afternoon, finishing 7th in a time of 32.35. There were some great results on the roads over the weekend. Congratulations to Eoin Flynn who won the Gran Canaria Marathon in a time of 2.29.14 in Las Palmas yesterday. At yesterday's Irish Universities Road Relays held in Maynooth University there were several good performances from club members. Running for DCU were David Scanlon who ran 10.00 for a 2 mile leg, while Alan Danager ran 10.30 and David Danagher ran 11.10. On the 3 mile leg Matthew Horrigan ran 15.25 for DCU. Well done to the Rathfarnham athletes who competed in the 26th British & Irish Masters Cross Country International in Cardiff on Saturday. Congratulations to Sean Hehir who won the Airtricity Dubin Marathon today in a time of 2.18.21; the first Irish athlete to win the event in 20 years.
