Well done to the Rathfarnham athletes who competed in the 26th British & Irish Masters Cross Country International in Cardiff on Saturday. Paul Fleming was 5th in the M35 category and completed the 8k course in a time of 25.05, finishing second for the Irish team to claim gold ahead of Wales and England. Shane O’Neill finished 11th in the M40 category in 25.41, and was second scorer for Ireland which won silver behind England and ahead of Scotland. In the M50 category Gerry Doyle led the Irish team home to silver, finishing in 6th place in a time of 26.14. England won gold in the category and Northern Ireland were third.
