It was a busy St Patrick's Week, with several competitive races taking place. A busy weekend of racing with the Schools Cross Country taking place in Sligo. Rathfarnham athletes headed west & south in search of PBs. Well done to Ronan Kearns who represented the club in the 800m event in Day 1 of the GloHealth National Senior Indoors in Athlone on Saturday. Ronan finished 6th in his heat in a time of 2.03.18. Full results are on the AAI website....

Armagh 5km  This race has a reputation as one of the fastest road races on these islands, with over 60 runners covering 5km in under 15 minutes. One of those was Seán Hehir in 14:35, followed by Louis McCarthy in 15:28, Paul Stephenson in 15:47 and Brian Furey 16:25. The race winner was Charlie Hulson in 14:02. Full results here. UCD/T...

There were several races around the country this weekend, with results as follows: Jonathan O'Donoghue was 15th in the 3,000m, while Stephen Gaffney was 2nd in the 400m in 48.53 at the AAI Games in Athlone. The in form Mitchell Byrne has set his third Rathfarnham WSAF Club indoor record since December.
