Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships Rathfarnham had wins in both the women's & men's races today. Clare Sullivan led the club's efforts at the Leinster Novice Cross Country in Tyrellspass, Co. Westmeath, on 29th October. Clare finished 6th overall. Brian Furey once again represented Ireland in the mountains, this time at the 32nd World Mountain Running Championships in Sapareva Banya, Bulgaria. Brian was the 4th man home on the Irish team, finishing in 73rd out of 141 competitors over a 12.5km course with 1400m of elevation. More great news arriving back from Susa in Italy at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships. Donna Mahon grabbed silver to secure the F40 Irish team the 2nd step on the podium. Zoe Melling was part of the Irish F45 team which finished 2nd in the Masters race. Vanessa Sallier also competed in F45 and Laura Flynn in F50. Catriona Jennings won the Donegal Marathon in 2:53 last Sunday in a busy weekend for the Jennings family. Her sister Sinead won the half-marathon, just after returning from the Rio Olympics.
