Sean Hehir got 2013 off to flying start today when he won the Tom Walsh Memorial 10K in Caherconlish Co. Limerick in a time of 30.37. In doing so he knocked over a minute off the course record. Wet and windy conditions prevailed in Clonmel on the 26th December for Paul Stephenson 5th in the 4 mile; 21.12 and Alan Danagher 10th; 21.55. This was a PB for Alan by 55 Secs. over the distance. David Danagher ran 28.18. Full results at the Running in Ireland website. Well done to all....

Sean Hehir has been selected on the Irish Team for the 19th SPAR European Cross Country Championships which takes place in Budapest, Hungary on the 9th of December. Rathfarnham Athletes did a good job at today's National Inter Counties Cross Country Championships held in Tatersalles, Ratoath, Co Meath. David Scanlon and Lawrence Boran competed in the Junior men's race. David finished 20th and Lawrence 37th. Stephen Gaffney continued his progress today at the National Junior Track & Field Championships in Tullamore. In the Long Jump he jumped a PB by 20 cm.
