At last Saturdays National Masters Track Championships we had six club members competing and all came home with National Medals. Highlights of the day were Stuart McClane 1st in 400m (V2) in 55.7 and 2nd 800m (V2) in 2.07. Vanessa Sallier ran a pb of 11.10 in the 3k and was 2nd in V2. Helen Leonard was 3rd (V2) in 11.19. Noel Crowther was 2nd....

Peter O'Farrell was third in the Gaelforcewest Adventure Event in Westport last Saturday in 3 hrs 42 mins, while Paul Mahon was 8th and 1st O.40 in 3.55. There were over 1,700 finishers. Paul Fleming won the Celbridge 5k today in 15.39, Johnathan Hughes was 4th in 16.20, Tom Cully was 44th in 19.27 and Alex Fraser ran 23.16 and it is great to see him back after a long lay off.   At last Monday's DLR Bay 10k around the streets of Dun Laoghaire Johnathan Hughes was 7th in 34.30, Archie O'Donnell 43rd in 39.50, Terry Clarke 58th in 40.44 and Tom Cully 87th in 41.42. Full results are on the The Bay 10k website. Well done to all....

Caitriona Jennings showed great courage and bravery to run through the pain barrier to complete yesterday's Olympic marathon in London.
