Paul Fleming won the Celbridge 5k today in 15.39, Johnathan Hughes was 4th in 16.20, Tom Cully was 44th in 19.27 and Alex Fraser ran 23.16 and it is great to see him back after a long lay off. Full results on the Celbridge AC website.

Yesterday in Moon, Co Kildare in the Moon 10k Run organised with the Moon Kilomarathon, John Hogan was 11th in 41.24, while Lorraine Nolan was 16th and 3rd lady in 42.56. Results on Kilomarathon Ireland website. Well done to all who ran.
Brian Furey recently won the IMRA Irish Championships for 2012 with 3 straight wins on Carrauntoohil (3rd June), Log Na Coille (30th June) and Galtymore ( 5th August). The IMRA Irish Championships are run over 5 of the highest peaks in Ireland and the best 3 races count. The details are on the IMRA website. Well done Brian.
Also on Saturday 11th August Eoin Flynn came second in the IMRA World Championship Trials in Glenmalure and will be selected for the Irish team for the Mountain Running World Championships in Italy in Sept. This was a great run for Eoin over a 12k course, 9.5k of it uphill. Brian Furey was 8th and Kevin Donagher 10th in the same race. Full details on the IMRA website.
