Peter O'Farrell was third in the Gaelforcewest Adventure Event in Westport last Saturday in 3 hrs 42 mins, while Paul Mahon was 8th and 1st O.40 in 3.55. There were over 1,700 finishers. Gaelforce is a multi-sport adventure race involving cycling, running, hiking and kayaking. The course of approximately 67km stretches from the stunning Glassilaun beach to Westport. En route there are some significant obstacles to cross, including Killary Harbour by kayak and up and down the famous holy mountain of Croagh Patrick. Full results on the Gaelforcewest website. Paul is a serial adventure runner having come 5th in Galeforce Connemara in May. Well done to Peter and Paul.
