Well done to Maura Kearns who won the women's 1500m B race in a time of 5.03.88 at the Dublin Graded meeting on Wednesday. In the men's 1500m A race Mitchell Byrne was 4th in 3.55.30, followed by Paul Stephenson (7th in 4.04.17) and Louis McCarthy (8th in 4.04.49). Congratulations to Maria Dolan who was 9th woman and 2nd O/40 in the Fingal 10k road race yesterday in a net time of 37.52, three seconds off the PB she set in Dunshaughlin last month. At last nights Graded Meeting there were a record eight finishers from the club in the Men's 5,000m AA Race which was won by John Travers of Donore Harriers in 13.56, followed by Joe Sweeney of DSD in 2nd place in 14.27, Sean Hehir was first home for the club in 6th place in 14.53. On Sunday last 29th June Pearse Coyle was 2nd in the Keith Duffy 5k in the Phoenix Park in a PB of 16.54. The full results are on the Keith Duffy 5k Run website. At the Coillte 10k in Dundrum Co. Congratulations to Stephen Gaffney who won the Under 23 long jump at the Woodie’s DIY Irish Junior and U23 championships in Tullamore today. Stephen jumped a PB of 7.01m to pick up the gold, a big improvement on his previous best of 6.83 earlier in the month.
