Congratulations to all the athletes who represented the club at the National Half Marathon Championships on Monday, which were incorporated in the Dublin Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. Sean Hehir led the senior men home to team silver in a time of 66.41, finishing in second place overall. He was followed by Eoin Flynn in 67.49 and Shane O'Neill who finished in 73.06. Our second team of Brian Furey (75.55), Eoin Brennan (77.19) and Peter Toomey (81.01) finished in 8th place. Our masters women's team finished in 4th place, lead by Maria Dolan who was 4th in the F40 category in a PB of 86.27, and followed by Helen French (10th F40 in 93.09) and Helen Ingram (2nd F55 in 95.55). There were some great performances from our masters men too, with Turlough Conway finishing in 76.32, and John Farrelly scoring silver in the M45 category in a time of 84.30. Well done also to Terry Clarke who ran 88.28, Diarmuid Coogan 90.38, Eric Cullen 97.53, and PJ Claffey 104.49. Full individual results are on the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon site.
