Some good performances were recorded at the Dublin Juvenile Cross Country Championships in Marley Park today. We had 12 athletes competing, our highest for years. Tom McGrath finished 11th in the the U.13 and Ashur Fernandes in his first race finished 21st. Michael Connelly had a fine run to finish 15th in the U.15. We had seven runners in the U.17 race. First home was David Scanlon who had a fantastic run to finish 4th, followed by Joseph Cooke 9th, Ian Rankin 12th, Sean Hayes 18th, Paddy O'Donohoe 20th, James Vickery 26th & Daniel Whitaker 27th. The U17 team took the bronze medals & were only 5 points of 1st place in a very competitive race. Jack McLaughlin had another great run to finish 5th in the U.19 & Mark Young finished 16th over a very tough 7km course. Well done to all our athletes who put in fine performances.
