At the Irish and British Masters cross country on Saturday 16th November 2024 on the Billy Neill Country Park, near Belfast our four Club athletes ran very well when representing Ireland. First of was new comer Sheelagh Jones who finished 4th in her W65 race and scored on the winning Ireland team. Next up was Tom Cuddy who was 8th overall in his race and again scored on the winning Ireland team. Eoin Flynn was 11th in the M40 race and again scored on the winning Ireland team. Mark Ryan was 2nd in the M45 team and lead the Ireland team to victory in their team race.
Meanwhile we had 4 competitors in the National Senior Cross Country Championships on Sunday 17th November 2024 at Castle Irvine, Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh on a very hilly muddy course. First home was Mitchell Byrne (56th), David Power (114th), Alexy Marchenko (128th) and Jonathan Hughes (177th) and our team was 18th overall and 3rd B team out of 24 teams which finished.
Paul Fleming won the Ledwith 6k cross country combined race on Saturday 16th November, Sean McCreery was 4th, John McHugh was 36th and Vanessa Sallier was 48th.
