At the Autumn Open Cross Country races in Abbotstown on Sunday 13th October we had some good performances by Club athletes. New club member Sheelagh Jones was first in F65 race and will represent us in the British and Irish International Cross Country races in Belfast on 16th November. Mark Ryan was 3rd in M45, while Paul Fleming was 9th and Marc Fitzachary 12th. In the M40 category David Power was 8th, Ciaran Aylward 12th and John McCauley 17th. At M55 Sean McCreery was 8th and Pearse Coyle 12th. Aisling O'Connor was 34th in the Senior womens race and Lee Byrne was 37th in the Senior mens race. Grainne Black ran in the Autumn Experience race to finish 3rd woman. Ryan O'Neill was 7th in the Junior mens race. Well done to all.

Tom Cuddy was in Bucharest for World Masters Athletics Marathon Championship, finishing 2nd in the M65 category in a time of 3:01:14 on Saturday. Barry Mulvihill was in the USA for the Chicago Marathon, crossing the line in 3:39:10.
