Laura McDonnell’s first outing in the green of Rathfarnham WSAF AC saw her coming third in the Castlegar Open Cross Country on September 19th while she was in Galway. The highlight of the 2020 National Masters Track and Field Championships for Rathfarnham WSAF AC was the fantastic 5000m gold medal performances by Paul Fleming in the M45’s and Paul Moran in the M55’s. Delayed due to Covid-19 there was a buzz about Dublin when it was realised that the First Dublin Athletic Graded Track and Field event was to go ahead. It was of course instantly a sell out with all athletes spring loaded and ready to go after being constrained without competitions for so long. So finally a race to report on. IMRA's Lugnaquille race was 10.46km long with 718m of climbing. Three Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes demonstrated the mountain power of the club with Luke McMullen coming 2nd, David Power 3rd and Brian Furey 4th.
