We had three participants in today’s Rás na hEireann held over 6K (Juniors,Seniors and Masters together) on the site of the Battle of the Boyne. First home was constantly improving Paul Stephenson running alongside the elite Irish team and USA squad. Next home was Owen Mc Loughlin who finished 5th 0/45. At today's Enniscorthy 10k Sean Hehir continued his strong road race performances by coming second in a time of 30.24. Brian Maher KCH was first in 30.06. Edwin Keville was 23rd in 35.03 and was also first O.40. Helen Ingram ran 43.16 and was 1st O. 50. Full results on RedTag Timing website. The highlight at today's National Intermediate Cross Country Championships in Lough Key Forest Park, Boyle, Co Roscommon was the men's team taking the silver medal. Over a very testing muddy 10k course Louis McCarthy was first home followed by Paul Stephenson, Turlough Conway and Robert Murphy who had a brilliant first face for the Club. At yesterdays BHAA 5 mile cross country race over a testing wet course, we had excellent runs from Ronan Kearns (8th in 27.15), Willie Morris(16th, 28.15), Andy Davies, Peter McDermott (34.02), Daniel Keogh (34.14), Tony O'Connell (34.23) and PJ Claffey (36.08). Congratulations to Vanessa Sallier (32.12), Maria Dolan (32.26), Helen Ingram (34.07) and Norita Murphy (34.23) who won the team prize in the Masters Women's category in the AXA Raheny 5 mile road race today.
