Sean Hehir has been selected on the Irish Team for the 19th SPAR European Cross Country Championships which takes place in Budapest, Hungary on the 9th of December. Everyone in Rathfarnham joins in congratulating Sean and wishing him a super run for Ireland in Hungary. Rathfarnham Athletes did a good job at today's National Inter Counties Cross Country Championships held in Tatersalles, Ratoath, Co Meath. David Scanlon and Lawrence Boran competed in the Junior men's race. David finished 20th and Lawrence 37th. At the first running of the Irish Life cross country run over a very wet and muddy 6k course we had a big contingent from the Club. Alan Danagher was first home for the Club in 6th with Gearoid O'Connor, Jonathan Hughes and Clyde Dunne (2nd O.40) close behind. We had another successful day in Tymon Park at the Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships. Paul Stephenson followed his win in the Dublin Novice Cross Country by winning the Intermediate Championship over a tough 8k course. Sean Hehir continues to run well after his Dublin Marathon second place, by winning the Noel McGuill 6k Cross Country race in Dunleer this morning. His time was 18.57.
