Congratulations to Catherine Devitt who was 2nd in the first BHAA Cross Country event of the year in Tymon Park yesterday. Well done to Pearse Coyle, Sean Doyle and John Toomey who kicked off the new year with good runs in the Tom Brennan Memorial 5k in the Phoenix Park. Pearse was first home for the club in 21st place in a time of 17.29, and 2nd in the M45 category. Sean Doyle was next in 44th position and 3rd O/50 in 18.36, followed by John Toomey (163rd in 23.18). Mick Bolger is running very well at the moment, setting a very fast time of 16.56 in the Streets of Wicklow 5k on St. Stephens Day. Mick finished 13th. Also running for the Club was Greg Byrne who was 32nd in 18.28, and Grainne Connor ran 20.27. Provisional Results are attached. Well done to all....

Sean Hehir registered yet another great win in 2011 by easily winning the Streets of Athenry 10k in 31.07 from Emmet Dunleavy (Sligo 31.19), Lizzie Lee from Leevale won the ladies race in 36.26. Eoin Flynn is proving there is no stopping in his improving form by running 31m18s for the Playa de Ingles 10k road race which represents a massive improvement on his PB.
