At the Uneven Age Cross Country Championships in Cork on Sunday we had 11 Juveniles representing the Club. Pride of place go to Edel McCreery and Alice Hickey in the Under 19 Girls race. in a closely faught battle Edel was 22nd and Alice 23rd. At the National Cross Country Championships in Rospenna Golf Course on Sunday 20th November 2022, Carla Sweeney was 26th in the senior ladies race and Sorcha Rea was 81st. In the mens senior race over 10,000m Mitchell Byrne was 22nd and scored on the winning Dublin County team. Well done to Shane O'Neill who romped home to win the M50 race in the British & Irish Masters Cross Country Championships in Santry on Saturday 19th November 2022. Shane led the Irish team to the silver medal position. Laura McDonnell finished 5th in the F35 race and scored on the Irish team which won the gold medal. At the Dublin Cross Country Championships on the City West Campus Course on Sunday 6th Nov., our Juvenile Runners took pride of place and brought home many medals. In the Autumn Open International Cross Country races in Abbotstown on Sunday 16th October Mitchell Byrne was our ownly competitor in the Senior Mens Race over 8k. Mitchel finished 11th in 23.15. In the ladies 6k race Carla Sweeney was 14th in 21.44. In the Masters Womens Race Laura McDonnell finished third in 21.53. Well done to all from the Club who competed at the Graded Meeting No. 8 on Wednesday 3rd August at Lucan track. We had Caitriona Dowling winning the 400m A race in 60.55. Well done to Rathfarnham WSAF Ac's Laura McDonnell who was first woman home and third place overall in the BHAA South Dublin County Sports Partnership Kiltipper 6k on July 28th. At 10.52km, 504m climb and some rough terrain the IMRA Ballinastoe Leinster league race is a good challenge on a Wednesday evening. Four of the top 10 finishers were Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes.
