Report from Rotterdam Marathon, Sunday 13 April 2014

Séan Hehir continued his great Marathon form when coming 15th in today's Rotterdam Marathon in a time of 2.17.45. Séan was the first Irish man home. In the same race Maria Dolan ran 3.01.36, a PB, and was 3rd lady home in her category. The full results are on the Rotterdam Marathon website. Well done Séan and Maria....

Congratulations to our two medal winning teams in the National 10 Road Championships yesterday, which were held in warm windy conditions in conjunction with the Great Ireland Run in the Phoenix Park.  Sean Hehir lead the senior men to team silver in 6th place in a time of 31.29, followed by Paul Stephenson (32.02)...

A number of Rathfarnham athletes competed in races around the country over the weekend. In the Mallow 10 Mile road race in Co. Cork yesterday Sean Hehir came a close second in 50.25, and Maria Dolan was 5th woman in a time of 63.16 - only two seconds off her PB for the distance. Stephen O’Dwyer was 111th in 64.53. Well done to Maria Dolan who was 1st O/45 in a PB of 63.14 in the Ballycotton 10 Mile Road Race yesterday. Derek Bain finished in 64.46 and Micheal Murphy ran 68.16.
