Some excellent results were recorded at last Wednesday's Graded Track meeting when we had 16 athletes running. We had a small but select group of Club runners in last Tuesday's BHAA 5m. Road Race in Dunboyne. First home was Philip Wright in 62nd. and 2nd. O.55 in a time of 31.04, a seasons best, followed by Dermot Coogan (65th, 31.10), Vanessa Sallier (109th, 32.59) and an ever improving Fidelma Ayres (121st. and 1st O.50 Lady, 33.38). Well done to Club athletes who ran well in the Donore 5k yesterday. First home for the Club in 2nd place was Louis McCarthy in 16.07. He was followed by Jason Reid in 5th in 16.42. Well done to Brendan Hogan who came 91st. in Sunday's Edinburgh marathon in a time of 2.58.28 in very hot and testing conditions. Brendan was also 5th. in his category. Full results at Edinburgh marathon website. ...

Barry Minnock continued his good form when easily winning the IMRA Fairy Chase anniversary race on Saturday. Mike Long was 23rd. The ladies Rathfarnham WSAF team took the Irish club championship title from DUHAC with Zoe Melling 2nd, Laura Flynn 4th, Vanessa Sallier 7th and Fidelma Ayres 8th.
