Catherine Devitt ran the race of her life when coming second in today's National Novice Cross Country in the Curragh over a testing 3k course. Catherine mixed it with the leading four for the first small lap and ran into a commanding second place in the final large lap. Catherine was also first scorer on the winning Dublin team. Well done to Edwin Keville who came 11th out of 1155 finishers, in a time of 75.48, in the Waterford Half Marathon on Saturday. Edwin was the first master home and he was over 2 minutes faster than his national Half Marathon time on the same course. Eoin Flynn came 3rd in the Corte Ingles 5k road race last Sunday in a time of 15.13 which is his best 5k time since the Rathfarnham 5k in 2010. It’s Las Palmas's biggest 5k of the year with over 1.500 participants.
