At today's BHAA 'Finding the Run of Ourselves' 10 k road race in Firhouse Willie Morris was first home for the Club in 8th place in 36.28, followed by John Farrelly 15th in 37.14, Joe Casey 23rd in 38.10, Peter Toomey 24th in 38.13, Michael Devine 36th in 40.06 and Aisling Tohill (46.59). At last Thursday's Grant Thornton 5k team challenge around the streets of Dublin City Centre we had six Club members running for their workplaces. First home was Ciaran Aylward in 11th in 16.39, running for The Competition Authority, closely followed by Paul Moran 12th (16.41, Gardai). Well done to Eoin Flynn when competing in the World Mountain Running Championships in Italy last Sunday. Eoin finished the 14.1k Course in 72nd in 1.12:26 and was 2nd Irishman home. On Friday night 24th August Maura Kearns won the ladies race in the Tara 5k Road race up the Hill of Tara in a time of 19.16. Maura was 27th overall. Noel Crowther was 50th in 20.29.
