Barry Minnock recorded the second win of the night for the Club by winning the Kinnegad 5k Road race in a course record of 14.39. Paul Fleming continues his good form by winning last nights Dublin City Council 5k through Ringsend Park. Next came Peter Gray 14th in 17.48, Jack Doyle 16th in 18.08, Brendan Hogan 18.50, Terry Clarke 19.28, Philip Wright 19.48, Diarmuid Coogan 19.48, Eoin Murrray 20.12, and PJ Claffey 21.16. At last Sundays 10th European Mountain Running Championships our two Club men ran on the Irish Senior Mens team. Mark Ryan finished 40th, while Eoin Flynn finished 57th and both scored on the Irish team which came home in 10th place out of 17. Full results are on the European Athletics website. At last Friday's Irish Milers Club meeting held in conjunction with Clonliffe Harriers 125th Anniversary meeting we had 2 Club runners in the mens 3000m. At last nights Graded meeting in Santry we had two Club runners. Stuart McCleane continues to improve with a very fast time of 54.9 in the 400m, while Brian O'Donoghue ran 9.47 in the mens 3000m. Mick Bolger completed his first Ironman triathlon in Nice last Sunday in a time of 11 hours 57 mins., in what must be a first for the Club. Micks exertions consisted of swimming a 2.4 miles (3.8km) sea swim which he did in 1hr 25mins., then straight into a 112 mile (180km) gruelling cycle over the Alps which he completed in 6h 19m, following into a...Page 130 of 185
