Zoie Richie, Mitchell Byrne, Carla Sweeney and David Scanlon
At the Autumn Open Cross Country races in Abbotstown on Sunday 5th October, our relay team made up by Zoie Richie, David Scanlon, Carla Sweeney and Mitchell Byrne won the senior mixed relay team race out of a field of 10 teams. The top two teams will travel to the European Club Cross-Country Championships in Portugal early next year.
In the Ladies senior race Aisling O'Conner was 28th. In the Junior Race Edel McCreery was 12th. In the Girls Under 18 race Clara Kinsella was 2nd. in the Dublin Championships and Ryan O'Neill was 8th in Under 18 Boys Dublin Championships. Lee Byrne was 40th in the senior mens race. This event also held the trials for the for the annual British and Irish Masters International cross country races. In the masters mens race Paul Fleming was 12th. in M45, Sean McCreery 3rd in M55, Louis McCarthy 8th in M40, Jonathan Hughes 22nd M40, John McCauley 23rd M40 and Tom Cuddy 4th M60. Sean will make the Irish Team for the British and Irish Cross Country International in Glasgow on 11th November.
