Mens M50+ team 2023

The Dublin Masters Cross Country Championships in St Anne’s Park Raheny was another great day for the Club with 29 finishers over four Races with many team and age category prizes coming back to Rathfarnham. We won gold in the M50 race with Shane O’Neill winning the race and he was supported by Sean McCreery 9th., Colm Murray 10th and Edwin Keville 12th. Other great runs were had by Pearse Coyle, Dermot Shiels and Barry Mulvhill.

The M65 team took gold also with Sean Doyle second, John McHugh 5th, Terry Clarke 9th, Don O’Carroll 12th and Philip Wright 15th.

Louis McCarthy was second in the M35 race and led the team home in third place. Louis was supported by Dave Power 7th, Patrick Marjolet 19th and Greg Byrne 31st. In the same race we had great runs from Ciaran Aylward, Luke Howard, John McCauley, Gael Hernandez, Michael Murphy, Ross Griffin and David Reidy.

In the F50 race Donna Mahon was second and led the team to second place. Donna was supported by Vanessa Sallier 13th, Nuala Dervan 18th and Helen French 35th. Sue Ryan was 41st in the M35 race, while Orla Murray was 59th.

Many individual age category medals were won across all the ages 35+ to 70+. In the overall team race for the Pat Hooper Cup Rathfarnham was second on 40 points to Raheny Shamrocks at 47. Clonliffe Harriers were third at 35 points. Well done to all who ran.
