Rathfarnham WSAF AC had a select group of athletes competing in the National in |Juvenile Track and Field Championships 2022 held in Morton Stadium, Santry. They had all done fantastically to qualify out of the Dublin Championships.

We had the U/13 boys relay team of Sean Cantwell, Euan Bale, Oisin O' Connor and Fionan O'Keefe who did very well but just missed out on making the final.
In The U/13 sprints we had Sean Cantwell who ran 11.46 seconds in the heat but unfortunately did not progress to the final.
In the field events we had Caoimhe Nic Mhathuna who threw a super 8.69 metres in the 
U/14 shot put Final to come 9th overall.
In The middle distance we had Zoie Richie bringing home the bronze medal in a very competitive 800 metres final in a time of  2.17.02. Next up was Edel McCreery in the U/18 1500 metres final. Edel ran very well to come 9th in a time of 5.11.94.
Finally we had all the the hurdles events. In the short hurdles we had Ellie Oldrey running in her first national 60 metres hurdles final .
Ellie ran brilliantly to bring home the silver medal in a very close finish in a time of 9.40 seconds.
Tom O'Regan ran very well in the U/17 boys 110 metres hurdles final finishing a fantastic 5th in a time of 15.47 seconds.
In the long hurdles we had Juliana Rooney who ran very well in the 250 metre event in a time of 40.85 seconds but just missed out on making the final .
Last up we had Cillian Mc Cabe in the U/18 boys 400 metres hurdles final.
Cillian ran a very controlled race from lane one and powered home
to claim a brilliant silver medal in a great time of 56.29.
Everybody performed really well. Congratulations to all of you from thew whole club and a big congratulations to all the individual coaches and our super organised head of coaching Orla Murray.
