David Scanlon won the Leinster Senior 1500m gold medal for Rathfarnham WSAF AC on May 28th with Louise Gaffney winning the women’s 1500m bronze medal. Big congratulations from all the club to you both!
That was followed by our in form women's captain winning the 800m masters gold medal. Well done Catríona Dowling!
Other club action on the 28th included Carla Sweeney winning the 1500m at the Mary Peters International in Belfast, Mitchell Byrne running a super 3:47.72 1500m at the BMC Manchester meet and Lee Byrne running a 1:55.88 800m at the IFAM Oordegem World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger meeting in Belgium.
