The highlight of today's national cross country championships at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown was Mitchell Byrne's gutsy second place in the national Under 23 Championships, just missing out on the gold by 5 seconds. In the men's senior race over 10k Sean Hehir was first home for the Club in 14th place. Mitchell Byrne was 24th, Louis McCarthy 33rd and Paul Stephenson 36th to bring the Club home in 5th position, just 4 points from the bronze medal team placing. Club captain Brian Furey was 63rd.
