It has been a busy week for road racing and club members have taken part in several road races around the country. Today Saturday 5th Sept., at The Lakes 10k in Blessington Louis McCarthy was first home for the club in 3rd place in 31.55, followed by Ronan Kearns 16th in 35.14, Aaron Browne 21st in 36.35, John Farrelly 33rd in 37.47. Ronan Byrne ran 40.32 and Katherine Howard 47.32.

In the Dingle Half-Marathon today Miriam McCormack ran 1.45.44 and Sorcha O'Sullivan 1.51.46. Aisling Tohill ran 4.02.26 in the Dingle Marathon.

Last Tuesday 1st Sept. in the Grant Thornton several club members ran for their work teams. Paul Fleming ran 15.34 to finish 12th, and Turlough Conway was 15th in 15.40. Brian Furey 15.45, David Power ran 16.00, Tommy Bishop 17.45 and Vanessa Sallier 19.11.

On Saturday 29th August Barry Minnock was second in the Tullamore Half Marathon in 71.24.On the same day Brian Furey finished 5th in the IMRA World Championships Senior Trials in Crone Woods. As a result Brian has been selected to represent Ireland in the World Championships in Wales on 19th Sept.. Results on IMRA website.

On Sunday 30th August Zoe Melling ran 46.33 in the Ashbourne 10k. The results of all the road races are in the results part of the Precision Timing website. Well done to all who ran.
