The highlight on Day 1, Saturday, of the National Track and Field Championships in Santry Stadium was the men's 10,000m Silver team medal performance. First home for the Club was Sean Hehir in 4th place in a time of 30.25. Sean was followed by Louis McCarthy 9th in 32.07 and Matthew Horrigan 16th in 33.29 to make up the siver medal team. Rathfarnham finished on the same points total, 29, as Leevale AC but Leevale was awarded gold on countback. Just edged out of the medals was Brian Furey who finished 17th in 33.33. Richard Keogh ran 1.59.12 in his heat of the 800m to finish 4th and just missed out on reaching Sunday's final. Lee Byrne from WSAF AC ran 2.03.97 to finish 8th in his 800m heat.

On day 2, Sunday, we had 5 runners in the 5,000m. In Race 2 Paul Stephenson finished 14th in aa very competitive race in a time of 14.53. In Race 1 Robert murphy ran 15.38, David Scanlon 15.59, Donagh Powell 16.54 and Aaron Browne 17.18. Well done to all who ran.
