At the World Mountain Running Championships in Telfes Austria on 6th Sept. Mark Ryan had a magnificent run to take the bronze medal in the M35 Category. Mark is coming into great form for the Rathfarnham 5k in 2 weeks time and ran the 11,500m uphill course with 1,100 climb in 1.03.00. Mark was followed by Peter O'Farrell in 17th in 1.13.19 and Paul Fleming 22nd in 1.18.04. This Rathfarnham trio took the bronze team medal for Ireland. Padraig MacCriostail was 21st in the M40 race on the same course in 1.15.17. In the F40 race over 7,200m and 760m climb Zoe Melling was 21st in 57.36 and Vanessa Sallier 24th in 1.00.25.
