Yesterday the BHAA AIB NUI Maynooth cross country races were held on the Maynooth College Campus over a flat course. In the mens 4 mile race Sean Doyle was first home for the Club in 32nd with a time of 24.38. Sean was followed by Denis Everett (30th in 24.12), John McHugh (35th in 24.45), Terry Clarke (44th in 25.17) Andy Davies (52nd, 25.55), David Danagher (55th, 26.08), Tom Cuddy (63rd, 26.25), Daniel Keogh 67th, 26.33), Philip Wright (82nd and second O.60, 27.11) and Eric Cullen (123rd in 29.29). Vanessa Sallier finishing 8th in 13.25 in the ladies 2 mile race. The results are on the BHAA website.
At the Marlay Park 5k run Willie Morris was 8th in 17.36, Michael Devine 14th in 18.19, Don O'Carroll 20th in 18.49, and Zoe Melling 92nd in 22.15. Eva Fairmaner also ran. The results are on the Parkrun website.
In Jordanstown Alan Danagher ran in the Irish Universities Cross Country Championships over an 8k course. Alan was 50th in 32.24. The results are on the IUAA website. At the same venue the Irish Schools Cross Country Championships were held. Mitchell Byrne, WSAF AC, had a great run to finish well up the field in 9th place (not listed in results), in the Senior Boys race, while David Scanlon finished 25th in the same race. Lorainne Nolan finished 2nd lady and 16th overall in a Fit for Life 5k in a time of 19.38, which was organised by St. Lawrence O'Tool AC, Carlow. John Hogan finished 13th in 19.17. Results on Precision Timing website. Well done to all who ran.
