Well done to all Club athletes who ran in the Irish Universities IUAA Indoor Championships on the new Indoor track in Athlone on Friday last. Stephen Gaffney competing for UCD came 3rd in the Triple Jump with a leap of 12.65m. This is Stephen's first IUAA medal, which is a special achievement for the Club. He followed this up with 7th in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.27m. Gerard Claffey, running for TCD, ran 4.30 to finish 5th in his heat of the 1,500m, while Laurence Boran was 7th in 4.46 when running for IT Tallaght. Laurence also ran 2.14 in the 800m. Alan Danagher ran 4.15 in the open 1,500m in the DCU colours. Full results on IUAA website.
