We had some great runs by Club athletes at today's Cross Country Championships in Santry over a very wet testing course after the morning's rain. In the Junior men's 4k race we had David Scanlon (7th) and Laurance Boran (14th), along with Mitchel Byrne (3rd.) from WSAF AC. Sonya O'Connell came 5th and ran very strongly in the senior ladies 6k race. First home for the senior men, over a very heavy 10k course, was Paul Fleming 20th, followed by Matthew Horrigan (25th), Shane O'Neill 27th, Louis McCarthy 28th, Turlough Conway 29th, Alan Danagher 30th, Johnathan Hughes 31st and Michael Freeley 33rd to bring the team home to the bronze medal position. Full results are on the Dublin Athletics Board website. Photos of all today's runners and supporters are in the Gallery.
