At todays RTE 5 mile road race Sean Hehir ran toe to toe with David Campbell (UCD) for most of the race to be run out in a sprint finish, to come second in 24.37. Eoin Flynn was 3rd in 25.08, Paul Fleming 4th in 26.19, Padraig MacCriostail 9th in 26.35 (1st O.40), Ronan Kearns 12th in 27.08, Gerry Doyle 13th in 27.09 (2nd O.45), Tommie Bishop 33rd in 29.02, Joe Casey 38th in 29.23, John Hogan 65th in 30.59, Peter McDermott 89th in 32.03 (2nd O.60), Maria Dolan 71st and 1st O.40 in 31.16, Vanessa Sallier 103rd and 2nd O.40 in 32.35, Lorraine Nolan 33.35, Tony Connolly 33.48 and Aisling Tohill 35.48.
