Well done to our senior men's team of Eoin Flynn, Paul Fleming, Barry Minnock and Sean Hehir who won the National Road relays title in Raheny today, making it team gold for the second week running. There was a ding dong battle with defending champions Raheny Shamrocks over the 2 mile/1 mile/3 mile/2 mile course with the lead changing several times, and Sean pulled off an impressive sprint finish to lead the team over the line by just one second in a total time of 38.33. Individual leg times were: Eoin 9.46, Paul 4.28, Barry 14.46 and Sean 9.33. An excellent report of today's win is on the AAI website, and full results will follow on the results page. The masters women's team of Vanessa Sallier (5.58), Maria Dolan (12.22) and Helen French (6.08) came third in their race over the 1 mile/2mile/1 mile course in a time of 24.28. The senior men's B team of Brian Furey (10.21), Louis McCarthy (4.37), Jason Reid (15.46) and Robert Murphy (10.37) ran well to finish in 10th position, beating many A teams, and the men's C team of Gavin Mountray (11.52), Ciaran Aylward (5.04), Jonathan Hughes (16.05) and Peter Toomey (11.17) finished in 18th place to bring home three compete teams.
