We had good representation in the Streets of Dublin 5k today, starting and finishing at the Mansion House, travelling from Baggot St to Leeson St and back. The course had tight bends and some wind but overall conditions were cool and good. The winner was Gareth Turnball followed closely by Tom Fitzpatrick. First home for the Club was Eoin Flynn in 5th in 15.11 and he was followed by Ronan Kearns 14th in 16.07, Kevin Danagher 19th in 16.14 and Jonathan Hughes 26th in 16.33. They took second team prize behind Raheny. Next home was the ever-improving David Scanlon (33rd and 1st Junior in 16.52) followed by Owen Mc Loughlin (O/45 in 17.36) and Sean Doyle (O/50 in 18.13). Maria Dolan was 1st O/40 in 18.45 (a PB by at least 15 secs.) and Philip Wright (19.57). Well done to the Kelders family who entered the family category: Saoirse (12) Caoimhe (9) and Patrick (7 yrs old) all ran 5k, with Liam (5 yrs old) running 2k. All out ran their ever-improving father Paul! Full results on MSB AC website.
