Congratulations to everyone who completed the Dublin Marathon today. Despite windy, humid weather conditions there were some great performances from club athletes, on a day that saw the course record broken for the second time in two years. First to cross the finish line was Paul Moran in an excellent time of 2.44.13, closely followed by teammate Edwin Keville in 2.44.21. Also having a great run was Owen Mc Loughlin, whose newly cropped locks helped give him additional leverage to score third place on the Master’s team in a time of 2.54.47. John Farrelly was next home in 2.57.17, followed by Colm Murray (2.59.49), Maria Dolan (3.16.03), Norita Murphy (3.19.01, in her marathon debut), Liam Griffin (3.28.36), Eddie O’Mahony (3.20.22), Ciaran Aylward (3.30.38), Aisling Tohill (3.41.11), Paul Kelders (3.41.41 also a marathon debut), Vanessa Sallier (3.56.27) and Peter McDermott (4.04.36). Full results are on the Dublin Marathon site, and photos are in the gallery.
