Rathfarnham WSAF was represented at the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc race series at Chamonix Mont Blanc in France last week when Adrian Tucker and his team mate Eoin Phelan, completed the most gruelling of the four listed events.This is a 300Km ultra-distance trail run that traverses the Mont Blanc Massif  while entering the three countries of France, Italy and Switzerland. The route is different each year, not way marked but simply mapped (GPS waypoints are provided).The distance is 300km and 25,000 metres of positive height gain.The maximum authorized time allowed is 138 hours with checkpoints and cut-off times along the way.The event started from Chamonix on Monday August 22nd 2011 around 22:00 'TEAM GREEN' completed the course in a time of just under 117 hours, arriving back in Chamonix  on Saturday 27th August.
