At the IMRA Irish Mountain Trials yesterday in Crone Woods, Wicklow Barry Minnock was first home over a 9,480m course in 41.02. Mark Ryan was 2nd. in 41.22. Brian Furey was 6th, Peter O'Farrell 7th and John Brennan 8th. In the ladies short course over 6,480m Donna Mahon was 3rd. in 35.40. Full results, reports and photos on IMRA website.
At the Ardmore, Co. Waterford 5 mile road race yesterday, Helen Leonard was 2nd lady home in 31.54. and 53rd overall. Kevin Bolger was 7th in a time of 28.15. Full results on Running in Munster website and todays Sunday Independent Sports Results section.
At todays Celbridge 5k Willlie Morris was 14th in 17.18 and Terry McConnon also had a good run. Results are on the Celbridge AC website.
