Last race of the day was the gruelling Intermediate Men's 10k, which comprised 6 1/2 laps in the mucky quagmire. Louis McCarthy was first home from the club in 20th place, and led his teammates Jason Reid (22nd), Brian Furey (27th) and John Brennan (30th) home to team silver. Kevin Bolger (40th), Brian Coleman (41st) and Brian O'Donoghue (78th) played supporting roles, and Louis, Brian, John and Kevin also got silver on the Dublin team.
