Excellent results were achieved by Club athletes in the IMRA European trials in Glenmalure yesterday. First home and 2nd overall was Kevin Keane, followed in 3rd place by Mark Ryan and 4th Peter O'Farrell. Michael Treacy, still only 15, was 9th overall and 1st Junior. A small but focussed team ran the Lucan 5k today. First home was Gearoid O'Connor in 3rd place, sporting the new clean haircut, followed by Owen McLoughlin (14th. and 1st O40 in 17.10), P.J. Claffey (20.30) and Heiner Schuster (21.00). Detailed results will follow on Lucan Harriers website Link...

There was some great performances from our team at Tullamore today. Great results and PBs were achieved at last nights Graded meeting in Irishtown on a calm sunny evening. Well done to Zoe Melling who competed in the European Masters Athletics Championships 10k road race in Aarhus Denmark on Friday 29th May. The Irish team took the silver medal in their category, which was made up by Bernie White (43.14) from Dublin Striders, Zoe Melling (43.55) and Mary McDermott (45.44) from Donore. Well done to all. Padraig MacCriostail continues to improve with every race by winning the Intel BHAA 10k road race in a time of 33.45, a personal best. Padraig had previously broken his PB by breaking 34.00 in the National 10k in Navan recently. 33.30 now beckons. In the 1,500m A race Julian Kuppler was 3rd. in 3.53 and Barry Minnock ran 4.06. In the A 3,000m race James King ran 8.32 while Garoid O'Connor acted as pacemaker and finished in 9.26.
