A large contingent of Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes were due to run the Bohermeen 5k on Friday June 3rd. Heavy traffic after an accident on the M50 prevented everybody except Sue Ryan from getting there. Sue is rapidly coming back into form and ran 21:05.Well done! FULL RESULTS HERE...

Our one Rathfarnham WSAF AC entrant in the Balbriggen 5k on June 2nd was Laura McDonnell. She was 1st women and third overall in a time of 17:38. Well done Laura! FULL RESULTS HERE...

Well done to Cathy Kelly who was 1st W60 at the Cork City Half marathon on June 5th running a new PB of 1:52:21. Husband Martin, the other half of this power couple ran a new PB in the Marathon of 3:13:59 and finished 2nd M60. Rathfarnham WSAF AC's 60's section is getting stronger by the day! Big congratulations to David Scanlon on his massive 3000m PB at the Raiffeisen Austrian Open in Eisenstadt on June 2nd. His blistering run of 8:13 knocks 7 seconds of his previous best and puts him up to second on the club all time list. Keep it up David! LINK TO WEBSITE HERE...

Well done to all the Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes who ran at the third Graded Meeting at Tallaght Athletic Stadium on Wednesday 25th May 2022. The National 5k Road Racing Championships 2022 took place on Sunday May 15th in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. A large Rathfarnham WSAF AC turnout didn’t go unrewarded with two team medals. The Irish Milers Club Belfast meeting was on May 14th. Zoie Richie had a super 2:14.16 PB in the 800m with Louise Gaffney running 2:15.69. Louise Shanahan of Leevale however stole the day with a new Irish record of 1:59.42.
