Liffey Valley AC’s held the annual Tom Brennan 5k race in the Phoenix Park on 1st January 2018. Two Rathfarnham WSAF Athletes too part. Louis McCarthy came 4th overall in an excellent start of the year time of 15:35. Pearse Coyle was sesond M50 in a time of 18:42. Well done to both athletes. The Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships 2017 took place on the 3rd December at the Tymon Park cross country circuit. Conditions were mild and damp, ideal for cross country racing. Donore Harriers ran the very popular and fast 27th annual Jingle Bells 5k race in the Phoenix park on Saturday 2nd December. The Waterford half marathon took place on 2nd December. Mark Ryan ran a fantastic time of 68:26 to come 10th and that after running cross country 6 days before. The Autumn Open Cross Country took place in the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown on Sunday 22nd October 2017.
