Well done to athletes who won achievement awards at the Annual Club Dinner at the Grange Golf Club last night. The highlight of the night was Sean Hehir winning the Club Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row. He was presented with the Tom O'Driscoll Trophy by Flor O'Driscoll. To recognise the achievements of Sean and Caitriona Jennings in achieving Irish senior vests to compete in Major Championships this year, they were presented with Honorary Life Memberships of the Club. Caitriona ran in the Marathon at the London Olympics in August, while Sean ran in the European Cross Country Championships in Budapest last weekend. National, Leinster and Dublin Championship Medals were also presented. The senior mens team of Barry Minnock, Sean Hehir and Brian Furey were presented with their National and Dublin Marathon Team and Individual Medals. The men's squad were very successful in 2012 after already winning the National 10k Road and Road Relays Team titles. Some pictures of last night's presentations are in the Gallery.
