On a fabulous day for cross country running Sean Hehir led the race and his Intermediate team Colleagues home to a stunning win in the National Intermediates CC. Barry Minnock (5th), James King (6th) and Kevin Keane (32nd) all finshed strongly to support the mighty front running Sean who was in a class of his own on the day. Not content with his two golds Sean also picked up a medal with his county, Clare. Up the Banner!

With super work being done by his club colleagues organising the race it was great to see Sean deliver on his promise and his very dedicated training regime. It would have all been for nothing in the team event without a gutsy performance by Kevin Keane, visibly hampered by a groin strain who ran very strongly clinch the team gold behind 3 very powerful teammates.
