Rathfarnham WSAF AC had two runners in the 2019 Mullingar Half Marathon on St. Patrick's Day. Seán Hehir, a man back on an upward trajectory again, was just piped for first place in a time of 68:06. Paul Stephenson who is getting into great form for his upcoming marathon was an excellent 4th in 69:34. There was a severe headwind along the canal in the second half of the race which would obviously favour tough Rathfarnham lads!!

With wind, rain and sunshine it was ideally tough for a good performance for David Power at the Bohermeen Meath Spring Half Marathon 2019 on Sunday March 10th. He ran a massive 90s PB to come 19th overall in a time of 1:15:41. Donagh Powell ran a calculated 1:20:04 (we won’t ask about the 4s!) in preparation for his upcoming marathon and back in action Miriam McCormack ran an excellent 1:46:59 in the W50s. Well done to the trio on great individual performances.

In one of the performances of the year so far Rathfarnham WSAF AC's Shane O'Neill ran a super time of 4:11:16 to take silver in the M45 1500m at AIT. His time was so fast it was even better than the M35 and M40 winners!! Bad luck having a double masters world champion winner in his age group!
