National 10k Road Racing Championships / Great Ireland Run

Rathfarnham WSAF AC had a great turn out at the National 10k Road Racing Championships incorporated into the Great Ireland Run in the Phoenix Park on April 9th. Kevin Donagher was 7th overall and won the M35 silver medal in a spectacular 32:44, second to Olympian Mick Clohisey.

The current senior women reached new heights with the team of Laura McDonnell, Aisling O’Connor and Ester Lawlor winning the Senior bronze medal. Laura was third overall and second W35. All three set new PB’s under the super training regime of coach Adam Jones!

The M50 team of Colm Murray, Edwin Keville and Seán McCreery won the team silver medal with a highly significant 70s PB from Seán. Cathy Kelly just missed out on a medal coming in 4th W60. Husband Martin was 4th M60 in that very competitive Kelly household! We think Laura McDonnell was wearing the new Vapofly 4% sunglasses!!
