Irish Milers Belfast Meet 29th May 2021

It was fantastic to have a group of our club athletes competing together at a meet after such a long break. There were some great times run with the highlight being Carla Sweeney running a blistering early season PB of 4:17.57 to win the 1500m. She’s hitting super form with her first PB in 5 years!!. Stephen Gaffney was second in the 100m A race in 10.63, +0.3m/s. David Scanlon was second in the 5000m B race in a PB of 14:33.2. In an exciting race he had an epic gritty battle all the way around with Bandon AC’s Fionn Harrington and was only narrowly beaten in to second in the end.

Mitchel Byrne ran a speedy 14:35.22 in the 5000m A race.
