European Games Minsk, Belarus 21st-30th June 2019

Rathfarnham WSAF AC ‘s Stephen Gaffney got the international call up to run the 100m for Ireland at the 2 ^nd European Games being hosted in Minsk, Belarus on 21 ^st -30 ^th June 2019. The European Games are Europe’s premier multisport event held every four years under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees (EOC). DNA, Dynamic New Athletics was the new format being tried in Dinamo Stadium.

Stephen had an outstanding performance at the games. He place 2 ^nd in the qualification round in a time of 10.67s and improved his time to 10:62s and place 2 ^nd again in the quarter-final. Exciting running Stephen! The whole club is getting a great thrill following your success.
